Resolution  

Be it resolved, the Washington Association for Learning Alternatives, WALA, hereby calls upon

the Washington State Legislature to fully fund alternative education.  The current system calling

for a 15% reduction in ALE funding is both punitive toward alternative education programs and

discriminatory to over 30,000 public education students.

Be it resolved, in the best interest of the State of Washington, the Washington Association for

Learning Alternatives hereby calls upon the State Legislature to adopt a less expensive

assessment system to meet the minimal requirements of NCLB.
